The esteemed recipient of the Overall Best in Leadership Excellence Category at the Maiden National GHS Excellence Awards 2023, Rev. Christian Kwadzo Vorleto, a Senior Physician Assistant at the Anyanui Health Center in the Angloga District of the Volta Region, and his wife have been presented with an all-expense-paid trip to Dubai, UAE, courtesy of Global Wings Travel and Tours Limited who supported this category of the awards.

 Alongside his spouse, Rev. Vorleto will enjoy a five-night stay in Dubai, with the opportunity to explore its renowned tourist attractions and participate in a Critical Care Conference. Additionally, he received a 50-inch smart television and study leave as part of his award.

In an address during the presentation of the award package to him, Dr. Patrick Kuma-Aboagye, the Director-General of the Service, expressed gratitude to Global Wings Travel and Tours Limited. He underscored the significance of the excellence awards scheme, emphasizing its purpose to recognize diligent health workers facing diverse challenges across different terrains. Dr. Kuma-Aboagye emphasized the essence of exceeding expectations and prioritizing others’ needs over personal ones to excel as a healthcare professional.

He highlighted the pivotal role of appreciation in motivating health workers to deliver their best in safeguarding lives and ensuring wellness. Additionally, he extended appreciation to the dedicated team behind the organization of last year’s event and the ongoing efforts to prepare for this year’s edition.

Dr. Gokel Obro-Adibo, CEO of @Global Wings Travel and Tours Limited, expressed excitement in supporting the Service’s efforts to motivate its hardworking staff and affirmed ongoing assistance with their travel needs.

Rev. Vorleto, upon receiving the award, expressed profound gratitude, viewing it as a dream come true.

“The whole of last year my wife and I have been trying to book a flight from Accra to Kumasi so that in the end we just board a bus and come by road. By the grace of God before the year ended, this package came, and we believe that it’s God’s own way of telling us that he loves us”
