Co-creation approaches will ensure Ghana-based stakeholders drive the focus of the CIP

Bring together relevant stakeholders including the Ghana Health Service, health providers, USAID implementing partners, innovators and incubators, among others, to identify high-priority health needs and define the selection criteria for evaluating relevant innovations.

Launch a call for innovations based on the scope and selection criteria defined in the co-creation workshop, applying the evaluation process with local stakeholders as key decision-makers.

Fund winning innovators to demonstrate proof-of-concept and early scaling successes. Local stakeholders would serve as key champions for these innovations.

Outline lessons learned and best practices to inform the establishment of an ongoing platform that could routinely define health needs and inform local stakeholders to source, access, and use innovations more readily. If successful, apply the model in other regions or countries.
