In Week 24, the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases recorded was 95,259 from all 16 regions in the country. There were 1,317 active COVID-19 cases by the end of the week. The number of cases detected through both enhanced and routine surveillance are shown in Figure 1 and Table 1. Since the re-opening of the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) in week 38, a total of 1,838 COVID-19 cases have been recorded at the airport.
- A total of 1,347 suspected cases of influenza-like illnesses were reported during the week with no death through the IDSR weekly reporting [Table 2]. Laboratory samples were sent from sentinel sites to Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research (NMIMR) for testing.
