Health Communication Department

The Health Communication Department is responsible for:

  • Providing leadership and guidance on all national and international campaigns, and media engagements of health promotion
  • Promoting Social Behaviour Change
  • Employing a range of strategies for clear health promotion communication
  • Creating understandable and actionable health information
  • Developing health internet-based communication, health promotion television and videos
  • Developing new media, use social media and mass media campaigns
  • Providing access to health information, education and social marketing
  • Developing material and resource
  • Organising and planning community outreach programs
  • Informing, educating, and empowering people about health issues.
The Department of Health Communication and Development consists of two main units namely:  Material Development Unit and Health Education Unit
