The Health Communication Department is responsible for:
- Providing leadership and guidance on all national and international campaigns, and media engagements of health promotion
- Promoting Social Behaviour Change
- Employing a range of strategies for clear health promotion communication
- Creating understandable and actionable health information
- Developing health internet-based communication, health promotion television and videos
- Developing new media, use social media and mass media campaigns
- Providing access to health information, education and social marketing
- Developing material and resource
- Organising and planning community outreach programs
- Informing, educating, and empowering people about health issues.
The Department of Health Communication and Development consists of two main units namely: Material Development Unit and Health Education Unit
