Dr Anthony Adofo Ofosu is a Senior Public Health Physician with interest in health system strengthening and using ICT to address service bottlenecks. He is a fellow of the Ghana College of Physicians and also holds a Master’s Degree in Epidemiology from the London School of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene.
He has over 26 years of experience in the public health sector, 24 years of which have been in leadership and senior management positions in GHS. Prior to his appointment as the Deputy Director-General of the Service, he was the Deputy Director in charge of Information Monitoring and Evaluation Department under the Policy Planning Monitoring and Evaluation Division of GHS.
In that position, he was instrumental in improving the health information system of Ghana, which included leading in the nation-wide roll out of the dhis2 in Ghana and overseeing the roll out of dhis2 etracker for primary health care facilities in Ghana.
