Regional Director's Profile
Dr. Fred Adomako-Boateng
Dr. Fred Adomako-Boateng is a Medical Doctor and a Fellow of West African College of Physicians & Surgeons- Community Health. He is a product of Medical School, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi.
He holds a Masters Degree in Public Health from University of Ghana, Legon. In addition, he has obtained several certificates in short courses including Certificate in Cardiovascular Disease (2013); Helping Babies Breathe Master Trainer Course (2010: Washington DC, USA); Diploma in Virtual Human Resource Management Programme (2009: Management Science for Health, USAID).
Dr. Adomako-Boateng has worked in different capacities at GHS including Medical Officer and Senior Medical Officer (2005-2010) at Suntreso Government Hospital, Kumasi, Ashanti Region; Specialist, Head of Public Health Unit (2010- 2012) also at Suntreso Government Hospital, Kumasi, Ashanti Region; Head of Surveillance (2012- 2013) at Regional Health Directorate, Ashanti Region.
He was appointed as Deputy Director in Charge of Clinical Care in Ashanti Region in 2013, a position which he held until his appointment as Regional Director of Health Service for Bono East in November, 2019. Dr. Adomako is also a part-time Lecturer at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
